Immersive 3D Projection Mapping & Holographic Experience at the Autoseum
The Autoseum presents “Gangster Chase – San Francisco 1935”, an immersive audiovisual installation that combines historical storytelling, cutting-edge projection mapping, and holographic technology into a unique museum experience.
At the center of the installation stands an original Willys 77, placed inside a fully immersive 3D cave environment. Using three synchronized projectors, the space transforms into a dynamic scene projected across two walls and the floor, surrounding visitors with a cinematic recreation of 1930s San Francisco.
Inside the vehicle, a holographic character appears behind the steering wheel using a classic Pepper’s Ghost setup. A carefully angled glass surface reflects a projected image, creating the illusion of a living driver interacting with the audience in real time.
